Vici Beardsworth, Affinity Supporting People’s operations manager, has been named one of the region’s top care professionals.
Vici won the Front Line Leader award, part of the North West Great British Care Awards.
She was one of five staff members from Affinity who were shortlisted for the respected awards, including Stephen Penketh, Dom Dyer, Leah Whelan and Christine O’Connor.
She will now go on to represent the region in the National Great British Care Awards, expected to be held in London next year.
Vici won her award alongside Jan Holt, nutrition advocate at Birch Green Care Home – part of the Springhill Care Group – who scooped the Nutrition and Hydration award.
Ken Nolan, chairman of Springhill Care Group, said: “Having so many members of staff shortlisted for categories in what are one of the industry’s most talked about awards was a tremendous recognition of the hard work that goes on across the group.
“Both Jan and Vici make such a difference to the lives of the people they care for, and were deserving winners. I’m sure everyone at Springhill would join me in congratulating them and wishing them all the best for the national awards.”
