Working for Affinity 

At Affinity, we always ensure that we have a good mixture of staff members to enable us to match key workers with key people receiving services. We have a team of full time and part time staff and also an established bank team of staff who work on a casual basis when needed.

Affinity is very supportive of work based qualifications and works closely with local colleges to ensure that the staff members within Affinity are offered the latest training and also to find new apprentice staff members.

Affinity looks at each application carefully and looks at what life experience the person has and if they would be an excellent role model for the people we support, we have a very diverse team who each offer their own views and opinions on matters and open discussion is welcome to improve our service.

During our recruitment process we empower the people we support to be part of this process and this could involve them being part of the selection stage, interview stage or by attending a 'meet and greet' for the shortlisted candidates. Other people we support may just want to provide a question for us to ask the candidate which we will do during the process. The most important part of the selection process is for us to see that the person we support and the candidate are both comfortable with each other and that interaction is working well.
